Apple Silently Rolls Out A Yearly Subscription Plan for Apple Music Users

While the news about the Apple iPhone 8 are as of now, nothing but speculation, here is some concrete information regarding Apple for a change. The brand has released a new pricing model for existing Apple Music subscribers.

Since the time of launch, the pricing plan of Apple Music has been the same throughout India, where people here get the benefit of having one of the cheapest plans of the music streaming service across the globe.

All these subscriptions came out as monthly options, where an individual pays Rs. 120 per month, a student can opt for the Rs. 60 per month plan, while there is an Apple Family plan which includes the option for a user to pay Rs. 190 for him along with five other people to stream music simultaneously.

Now, Apple has silently rolled out a new plan for its users where you can also opt for an annual plan, which costs Rs. 1,200. To put this in perspective, without the annual plan, you need to pay Rs. 2,280 per year. So, this pricing option becomes extremely affordable and accessible.

As of now, this plan is only available for an individual user and there is no annual subscription plan for those on the Family Sharing. Hopefully, Apple will be working on altering this pricing structure as well.

A point to note is that this annual option is only for those who have already subscribed to Apple Music. New users do not get this yearly plan option.

To access this new feature, open the App Store, go right down to the bottom of the page where you can see your account name. Tap that and a pop up will appear asking you to view your account information. Tap that and swipe down till you see subscriptions, open that and go to Apple Music. Then from there you can find the new option for the yearly plan.
