DE LA RENTA SIGNS LANTIS FOR EYEWEAR

NEW YORK — Oscar de la Renta Ltd. has signed a licensing agreement with Lantis Eyewear Corp. to manufacture and distribute sunglass and optical eyewear collections.
A signature line and an Oscar by Oscar de la Renta line will be launched during the August accessories market here, and at the eyewear trade show, Vision Expo West, in Anaheim this September. Both lines will begin to arrive in stores in October.
The Oscar de la Renta prescription eyewear collection will retail from $140 to $240, with sunglasses retailing from $120 to $200.
The Oscar bridge collection will retail from $90 to $160 for optical styles and $50 to $90 for sunglasses.
De la Renta’s previous eyewear license, with Ambassador eyewear, has ended.
The designer’s other licensed accessories categories are fashion jewelry, cosmetics cases, luggage and umbrellas.
Lantis also produces the licensed eyewear brands Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, DKNY, Jones New York and Reebok.
