Deon William Watson Obituary, Death – Deon William Watson, 51, tragically lost his life in a gunfight with police on Wednesday afternoon in Bridgeport, Michigan. The town was rocked by the news of the shooting. The altercation that led to Watson’s death in the 4800 block of Dixie Highway in Bridgeport Township originated from gunshot wounds. A felony arrest warrant for assault with intent to cause severe bodily harm was issued for Watson,

who was previously identified as the suspect in a shooting incident that occurred on November 9 in the Saginaw area. This information made its way to light. Earlier, a man had been hurt in the shooting, which is why authorities are pursuing Watson on these charges. Around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSHP) arrived at a residence on Dixie Highway in an effort to detain Watson based on the warrant.

But things escalated quickly as Watson drew a gun and threatened the troopers as he ran from them, prompting the police to fire in response to the impending threat. Watson died at the scene of the crime after being shot; a trooper from the Michigan State Police Department was taken to Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw for emergency surgery after being shot. The trooper was in critical condition, but officials were hopeful about his chances of survival.

Law enforcement officials are dedicated to providing further details about the events leading up to the gunfight as they continue to investigate the deadly incident. Our goal is to gain a complete understanding of this tragic altercation between Watson and Michigan State Police. We will continue to provide updates regarding the injured trooper’s condition throughout the day.
