In 2015 Madison published a book 'Down the Rabbit Hole' which describes life in the Playboy mansion as "a twisted world" which led to a deep depression and suicidal moments. Hefner denied this and claimed that she was attempting to lengthen her moment in the spotlight. The book was top of the New York Times bestseller list.
