Heat pumps help to regulate the heating and cooling of a house by redirecting energy from the air outside the house to regulate the air temperature inside the house. Heat pumps are generally used with a supplemental power source to ensure that heating and cooling requirements are satisfied.
If a Lennox heat pump is not working properly, reset the system before contacting technical support.
-
Check the control panel of the Lennox heat pump. If the pump is off, it may be due to settings on the control panel. Make sure that the heating/cooling setting is set appropriately.
-
Press the fan button to see if the fan will turn on and off.
-
Restart the heat pump. Use the house's circuit breaker (often located in the basement or laundry room) to turn off the power to the unit. Then switch the breaker back on.
