In The Witcher: Blood Origin, Eredin Breacc Glas is played by Jacob Collins-Levy. Collins-Levy was one of many actors who were picked to play the Witcher’s bad guy.

Geralt of Riva, Ciri, the crown princess of Cintra, and Yeefer, a sorceress from Vengerberg, were all destined to meet 1200 years ago. Before its inevitable end, there was a very successful Elven society there.

“The Witcher: Blood Origin,” a much-anticipated prequel to “The Witcher” series, tells the story of these elves in their prime, bringing back an important part of history that was lost when humans conquered them.

The first episode of “The Witcher: Blood Origin,” which came out on Netflix on December 25, 2022, set the stage for several important characters whose actions would have a big effect on the next “Witcher” series. One of the people in the story is “Eredin,” who is the leader of the Red Riders.

In The Witcher Blood Origin, who plays Eredin?

Eredin Breacc Glas, the main bad guy, will be played by Jacob Collins-Levy in “The Witcher: Blood Origin.” Jacob Collins-Levy is the main and most important bad guy.

The actor plays Eredin in “The Witcher 3,” and he has been great so far.

Redanian Intelligence says that the focus will also move to the bad guy who will show up in the Blood Origin prequel series.

Collins-Levy was not, however, the first actor to play the Witcher’s bad guy. The first news stories said that actor Sam Hazeldine was going to play Eredin.

Collins-Levy may have gotten the job because of a lot of different things. Since Blood: Origin takes place 1200 years before the first series, time is likely to play a big role in the show.

“Blood Origin” will tell a story that has been lost to time: how the first Witcher was made and what happened before the important “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, humans, and elves came together to form one.

For the second season of “The Witcher,” actor Hazeldine might have a very short role. Since he has already been in the series in some way, his first role in the prequel is not that surprising.

Still, this sudden change of actors could have been caused by jumps in time. So, it makes a lot more sense for Levy to play the main character as a younger guy and for Hazeldine to play the bad guy as an older person.

Also, the fact that Eredin was recast could say a lot about what fans can expect from him in “Blood Origin.” On the other hand, it could have been something as simple as a change in plans or a disagreement. In any case, the prequel’s focus on Eredin’s character gives fans more confidence that he will be an important character.

In the game, Eredin is called the “king of the wild hunt,” which suggests that he leads a large group of fierce warriors. To get what he wants, he kidnaps Ciri and steals her magical powers. This is how he got all of his power.

Meet Actor Jacob Collins-Levy

Jacob Collins-Levy is also known for his roles in “True History of the Kelly Gang and Bloom” (2019), “Glitch” (2015), and “The Liberator” (2020).

But in “The White Princess,” the talented actor also played Henry VII, King of England (2017).

Levy was born on March 18, 1992, in the city of Melbourne, which is in Australia. He has been acting since he was a child, and he went to “16th Street Actors Studio” to learn more. After that, he went on a lot of auditions and didn’t get his first short movie roles until “Holding the Man” and “Gallipoli” in 2015.

The movie “Joe Cinque’s Consolation,” which was chosen for the 41st Toronto International Film Festival, was then Levi’s big break.

But his acting career took off when “The White Princess,” in which he played Henry VII, was seen by a lot of people. Because of his performance, Jacob’s fame in Hollywood grew overnight, and he got the part of Lord Byron in the “Doctor Who” movie coming out in 2020.

The Witcher Blood Origin Production

In July 2020, it was announced that Netflix had given the go-ahead for a six-part prequel miniseries to their TV show based on the books by Andrzej Sapkowski. The job of “showrunner” went to Declan de Barra. In January 2021, Jodie Turner-Smith was chosen to be the main character in the show. In March, Laurence O’Fuarain would be added to the cast, but by April, Turner-Smith had to leave because of scheduling problems. In July, Michelle Yeoh joined the cast, and Turner-role Smith’s was taken over by Sophia Brown.

The series started filming in August 2021 in the United Kingdom. Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Nathaniel Curtis, and Dylan Moran have also been cast.

In November 2021, De Bara said it was done filming and going into post-production.

On December 17, 2021, the first trailer for the show came out.

On November 10, 2022, a second teaser trailer came out.

Cast of The Witcher: Blood Origins

The show will be led by Laurence O’Fuarain, who played Rollo in Vikings. We found out that O’Fuarain was cast at Deadline. He will play a warrior named Fjall. In two tweets, the official account for The Witcher said that Fjall was a warrior with “a deep scar inside.” The great Michelle Yeoh will star with O’Fuarain. Her role was announced in July. Yeoh will play a character named Scan. See below for more information.

After Yeoh was chosen, Variety said that Sophia Brown would take the role of Éile. (Jodie Turner-Smith of Queen & Slim was chosen to play Éile in January, but Deadline reported in April that she had quit the project because of scheduling problems.) “A fierce warrior with the voice of a goddess,” is how Netflix describes Éile.

The rest of The Witcher: Blood Origin’s cast was also the same. Sir Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Nathaniel Curtis, and Dylan Moran are some of the 10 new cast members, according to Deadline. In the movie The Rings of Power, which is coming out soon, Henry will play a character named Balor. Mack will be Merwyn’s voice, Curtis will be Bran’s voice, and Moran will be Uthrok One-voice. Nut’s Jacob Collins Levy, Amy Murray, Lizzie Annis, Huw Novelli, Francesca Mills, and Zach Wyatt will also be part of the cast. They will each play a different character: Eredin, Fenrik, Zacaré, Brother Death, Meldof, and Syndril.

Who will make The Witcher: Blood Origin?

Declan De Barra and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich are in charge of making the show’s ideas come to life. Andrzej Sapkowski, who wrote The Witcher, helped come up with ideas for the show.

“I’ve always liked fantasy, so I’m very excited to tell The Witcher: Blood Origin’s story,” said De Barra.

“Since I first read The Witcher books, I’ve had a burning question in my mind: What was the Elven world really like before the humans came and changed everything? I’ve always been interested in how science, discoveries, and culture flourish right before a civilization falls.

“How huge amounts of knowledge can be lost for good in such a short amount of time. This is often made worse by colonization and rewriting history. Leaving behind only bits and pieces of the real story of a civilization.”

Cast information for The Witcher: Blood Origin

Michelle Yeoh will be the star of The Witcher Blood Origin, so you can be happy about that. The well-known actress, who was just in Everything Everywhere All at Once, will play Scian, the last member of an Elven tribe.

Yeoh will be joined by Sophia Brown and Laurence O’Fuarain, who are not as well-known as Yeoh. Brown plays Éile, a warrior who quits the Queen’s Guard to become a musician on the road. O’Fuarain will play Fjall, who was born to protect the king but instead wants revenge.

British actors Lenny Henry and Dylan Moran are also in the cast, and Minnie Driver, who was in a lot of great ’90s movies, has a small role. Last but not least, Joey Batey will play Jaskier in the show.
