Philip dropped out of University to work in a music shop and write novels. His first big success didn't come until 1962 with The Man In The High Castle

Was diagnosed as schizophrenic as a young man and suffered mental health issues.

Philip is buried alongside his twin sister Jane who died aged just six weeks. His inscription had been carved over fifty years earlier.
