Pipelinefunk, a röhrensound (tubesound) composition by Armin Küpper

Korschenbroich, Germany-based artist and musician Armin Küpper plays his saxophone at the mouth of a long pipeline. The result: Pipelinefunk, a delayed echo that partners with the next line in his jazzy melody.

The analog effect of the röhrensound (tubesound) mimics a digital live looping effect or a second musician playing a round, “a musical composition in which two or more voices sing exactly the same melody, beginning at different times”

Sometimes I just can’t stop playing. Because the guy on the other side of the tube always wants to have the last word. The nice thing is, when it gets cool in the evening, I sit down in the tube heated up during the day and enjoy the sunset playing the saxophone.
